RC Helicopters

RC GYRO Helicopters

ThRemotee Gyro Helicopters are the easiest helicopters to fly. They cost slightly more than your standard remote control helicopter but they are a lot easier to manoeuvre and a lot more fun.

With a 3 channel control system and a sleek aerodynamic design all Gyro helicopters are very easy to fly.

Most have the following features:

  • 3 Channel Flight: flies up and down, forward and back, left and right
  • Remote control range: approximately 10 meters
  • Controller requires 6x AA batteries
  • Full charge time: Approximately 30 minutes
  • Charged via remote control
  • Flying time per charge: approximately 8-10 minutes
  • Operational range: 15 meters
RC Gyro Helicopter is send and receive signals from a control unit

A remote control or RC Gyro helicopter works by transmitting signals at a certain frequency. These signals tell the helicopter which way to move. Controlling an RC helicopter is a bit more complicated than your average RC vehicle; however, because of the way a helicopter flies. To lift off the ground, a helicopter requires a complex interaction of blades and rotors. When you fly an RC Gyro helicopter, your radio transmitter sends information from multiple channels at certain frequencies to the receiver. The receiver, located on the helicopter itself, interprets these signals into up or down movements, right or left turns, forward and backward tilting and leaning right or left. Most remote control helicopters also contain a gyro, which automatically controls the tail rotor for you.

They Fly Like Their Real Life Counterparts

Essentially, your RC Gyro helicopter will do anything that a real helicopter can do. Of course, it takes lots of training and practice to learn to control your helicopter’s movement in a 3 dimensional space. For this reason, flying an RC helicopter is more challenging than simply driving a radio controlled truck. When a helicopter is not moving forward, backward, up or down, it has to hover in place. This is one of the first techniques you must learn as a new pilot to keep your vehicle from crashing. After this, you must learn to combine all of the possible directional movements into a normal flight pattern. Because helicopters generate their own lift using their rotors, you will be able to change directions quickly, fly backwards or even turn upside down. Of course, learning these manoeuvres take practice.

They Run on Gas or Electric Power

Electric RC Gyro helicopters are sold in gadgets shop like Pangadgets that contain everything you will need to fly. If you are a beginner, this is the best place for you to start. As a rule, electric helicopters that run on a rechargeable battery are less expensive than their gas powered counterparts, and have cheaper replacement parts readily available. This is an advantage when you are learning to fly, as you are likely to crash your helicopter multiple times. Gas powered models, on the other hand, are loved by seasoned flyers because they are more manoeuvrable than electric RC helicopters but it can harm our environment and it is not safe as the electric RC helicopters. Gas powered helicopters can complete tricks such as backwards and upside down flight, something more difficult for the electric models to accomplish. The power supply you choose depends on how you want to fly your helicopter.

Do you know how to fly a Remote Controlled or RC Helicopters?

Flying remote controlled helicopters can be an enjoyable hobby, but it is not quite as simple as it looks because it is like piloting a real helicopter and takes training to get experience. The following steps will allow you and other user to learn how to fly a radio controlled helicopter expertly and safely.

Instructions
Things You’ll Need:
  • RC Gyro helicopter or RC Gyro Apache Helicopter or any RC Helicopter
  • Remote Control
    1. Find a practice area with an open grass field or sandy plain or indoor. Move away from any trees, people or other obstructions that may inhibit your flight experience.
    2. Power ON your remote control. If the indicator light does not go on, replace the batteries in the compartment on the back or bottom of the control. Use the “On/Off” switch to power on your helicopter.
    3. Hold the base of the helicopter tightly in one hand while gripping the remote control in the other. Press up on the accelerator stick on the remote to test the blade speed. Use the stick on the right hand side of the control to test the rudder. Make sure all of the parts of the RC Helicopter are operating correctly before attempting flight.
    4. Set the RC Helicopter on the ground and take several steps away. Gently press upward on the accelerator stick to start spinning the blades. Increase pressure on the stick until your helicopter levitates and hovers in the air. Once in air, use the directional control stick to steer the RC helicopter in different directions. Do not let the helicopter get more than 5 to 6 feet off the ground or more than 25 feet away from the place where you are standing.
    5. Bring the helicopter back to the ground. Slowly bring the accelerator stick back to the resting position as you allow the RC helicopter to softly land on the ground. Once the blades have stopped spinning, inspect the helicopter’s blades, turning mechanisms and any weight balances to determine if anything can be adjusted to allow for a more accurate flight experience. Refer to the user manual for the specific model of RC helicopter you are using for more detailed instructions on adjusting the helicopter’s parts.
Are you a beginner?
Benefits of An Instructor

If you have a future goal to be a pilot, RC Helicopter is a ideal solution. Why is that? It is a basic instructor which enables you to understand the fundamental concept such as what happen behind the scene. The secret behind every good flyer is a good instructor. No matter how well you do on an online simulator, flying in real life is always going to be harder than you expect. Finding a good instructor is the best way to learn without risking damage to your new helicopter. An instructor will not only correct any mistakes you make as you’re learning, but he will be in control at the same time. This allows you to practice different controls while knowing the instructor has you covered in case you lose control. She will also have training gear to make your first flights easier.

Controlling the Helicopter

The controls of an RC helicopter are basic and easier to use than more expensive models. While other helicopters allow the blades to be manipulated, the RC helicopter keeps the controls to a minimum to make flying easier. You will be able to move up and down, hover, and move left and right. The tail of the helicopter is designed to make it less likely to spin in circles while you are flying and to make hovering easier. There are no cyclic controls to worry about when flying. This is advantageous for a beginner, but it can also limit the tricks that you can perform with your helicopter.

The more expensive, hobby versions of the RC helicopterare for the more advanced flyer. Once you’ve mastered the basic RC, you can move up to the more complex model if you wish. These models allow tricks to be performed and have more manoeuvrability. However, you’re more likely to spin around while flying. There are also more controls, including the cyclic control that you’ll have to learn how to use. The benefits of learning include the ability to perform at competitions, and to perform more tricks and turns for your own enjoyment.
